HouseKeep ("we", "us", or "our") operates the mobile and web application available at housekeepcalm.app (the "App"). The App helps you track, schedule, and receive reminders for home maintenance tasks.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your email address, which serves as your unique identifier in the App.
Profile preferences: If you choose to enable SMS notifications, we collect your phone number and SMS opt-in preference. This is entirely optional.
Maintenance data: You create and store maintenance task records, including task names, categories, dates, costs, provider names, and notes. This data is tied to your account and is not shared with other users.
Usage data: We may automatically collect technical information such as device type, browser, and access times for the purpose of maintaining and improving the App.
To provide and maintain the App and its features, including task scheduling and recurring plan automation.
To send you maintenance reminders via email and, if you have opted in, via SMS text message to the phone number you provided.
To improve the App's functionality, user experience, and reliability.
To communicate with you about your account, updates, or important changes to the service.
Email reminders: By default, we send maintenance reminder emails to the address associated with your account when tasks are due. You cannot opt out of these while maintaining an active account, but you can remove your maintenance plans to stop receiving task-specific reminders.
SMS reminders: SMS text reminders are optional. You must explicitly provide your phone number and toggle on the SMS opt-in setting in the App. You can opt out at any time by disabling the SMS toggle in Settings or by replying STOP to any message you receive. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Your data is stored securely on managed cloud infrastructure provided by our hosting platform, Base44. All data in transit is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
Each user's maintenance data is isolated — you can only view, edit, and manage your own records. Administrative access is limited to authorized personnel for maintenance and support purposes only.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or maintenance data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
• Base44 — Application hosting and data storage
• Twilio — SMS message delivery for users who opt in to text reminders
• Email delivery services — For sending maintenance reminder emails
These providers process data only as necessary to deliver their services on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Your maintenance data and account information are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request data deletion, we will remove your personal information and associated records within a reasonable timeframe.
Reminder delivery logs (tracking which reminders were sent) are retained for operational purposes to prevent duplicate notifications and improve service reliability.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can edit your profile information, phone number, and SMS preferences directly in the App's Settings page.
You may request a complete export or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email listed below.
If you are a resident of California (CCPA) or the European Economic Area/UK (GDPR), you have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy within the App or by sending a notification to your registered email address.
